04 Singularity

Singularity was my submission for Brackeys Game Jam 2020.1. I only had a few days instead of the entire one week since it was the final week of school, so I could not do all that I wanted but I am still happy with what I accomplished.

All assets and codes were created by me during the jam.

The theme was 'hole' and the first thing that came to my mind was a blackhole. So I created a top-down physics-based shooter.

You play as a scientist who took back his Singularity Rifle which allows him to spawn blackholes to pull objects to knockout enemies.

So instead of a typical top-down shooter you use the objects in the level to your advantage to knock out all enemies. This leads to satisfying moments if you manage to throw a box across the screen to knock out an enemy on the opposite side

Furthermore, since this is a physics-based game, this also leads to chaotic messes where objects are just strewn all across the floor.
